Honda claims the Pilot has class-leading interior space, including a generous amount of storage space. The TrailSport features an even tougher design than the standard Pilot model, along with off-road features to aid in wilderness adventures. This includes a TrailWatch camera system, an off-road system with Torque Logic, sway bars, all-terrain tires and unique 18-inch wheels with inset spokes to protect them from damage on rough terrain. Plus, the Pilot TrailSport has an off-road suspension with a one-inch lift for more ground clearance.
The TrailSport, along with the rest of the Pilot lineup, is powered by a new 3.5-liter V-6 engine, making 285 horsepower. By comparison, the Highlander’s turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four makes 265 horsepower, while its 2.5-liter hybrid four-cylinder powertrain produces 243 horsepower. Additionally, to improve traction, Pilot offers the enhanced i-VTM4 torque vectoring four-wheel drive system.
