The Jeep brand knows how to build powerful and capable SUVs, and the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is no different. An impressive family hauling sport utility vehicle with loads of features and off-road capability can be hard to beat. With an MSRP ranging from $39,000 to $61,675, there are a few suitable alternatives to the Grand Cherokee in that range.
The Hyundai Palisade is a Reasonable Alternative to the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
US News says the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is a great alternative to the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has more standard features for this year than ever before, and the base V6 was powerful enough for the daily driver. Buyers can opt for seven or eight seats, depending on the configuration.
The Palisade is a comfortable, family-focused SUV. Some standard driver assistance features on the 2023 Hyundai Palisade include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian, bicyclist, and turn detection at intersections.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Palisade high scores in some crash tests. It has not yet been fully tested, but it performed well in frontal crash and rollover tests.
MSRP Range: $34,950 – $50,800
Kia’s Telluride is a good alternative to the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

If the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee does it all, the 2022 Kia Telluride is a close second. Both are capable and comfortable, with plenty of interior space for passengers. For 2022, a new 10.25-inch infotainment screen and dual-zone automatic climate control add to the long list of features.
Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and lane-keep assist are standard. It doesn’t end there, as Kia also added blind-spot monitoring and stop-start adaptive cruise control.
Both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and NHTSA gave the 2022 Kia Telluride high scores. It received an IIHS Top Safety Pick award and a five-star safety rating from NHTSA.
MSRP Range: $33,390 – $45,190
The Wrangler is a good alternative for those who want to venture
If the Jeep part was the attractive part of the equation, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler is a good alternative. If the other options are reasonable, the Wrangler is fun and capable off-road. Jeep makes the Wrangler SUV easy to customize, and finding parts at the aftermarket is a piece of cake.
Buyers can choose multiple engines to suit many needs, and seating is available for four or five passengers. Unfortunately, the only standard driver-assist feature on the 2023 Wrangler is a rearview camera. Buyers can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
Only the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has rated the Wrangler, and only in a few tests. He received a four-star rating in the frontal crash test and three stars in the rollover crash test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety hasn’t rated it yet.
MSRP Range: $31,195 – $82,495
Here are some of the best options depending on the type of 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee alternatives you’re looking for. While the Grand Cherokee has a long history and many fans, its high asking price could put it out of some budgets.
