A 4.7L V8 is standard on the 2013 Ram 1500 Tradesman trim making 310 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. In other trims, a 5.7L V8 makes 395 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque. Both options get 16 mpg combined or 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.
Consider the 2013 Ram 1500 if you want a comfortable full-size pickup

Finally, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration gave the 2013 truck a four-star overall safety rating for keeping all those adults safe.
Towing is no problem with the full-size Ram pickup
The 2013 Ram 1500 V6 can tow up to 6,500 pounds when properly equipped. That’s enough for most situations. With the 5.7L V8, the Ram can tow up to 10,450 pounds.
In the area of safety, the 2013 pickup trucks weren’t the safest option on the road. Four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability control and hill-start assist are standard. Ram also included front-seat side airbags and full-length curtain side airbags to keep passengers safe.
