Three of the main competitors in the luxury SUV segment are the Ferrari Purosangue, the Aston Martin DBX and the Lamborghini Urus (although Ferrari insists the Purosangue is not an SUV). In this comparison between the 2023 Aston Martin DBX707 and the 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante, Engine1 shared some of the power and performance metrics. The DBX has a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 capable of putting out 697 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. That’s 707 PS if you’re measuring European, hence the name. It also has a nine-speed wet-clutch transmission capable of manual and automatic driving modes. The Urus also gets a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 666 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. However, the Lamborghini has an eight-speed automatic transmission.
