After studying the potential lifespan of these trucks, iSeeCars determined that the Honda Ridgeline is one of the best 10-year trucks. It has an average price of $18,725 and a potential useful life of 248,669 miles. After 10 years, there’s still a chance to put another 129,513 miles on the odometer.
How does iSeeCars determine how many miles are left on a vehicle? He examined the sale of two million used cars to see which ones had the longest lifespan. After that, he compared those models to current used-car values. Karl Brauer, executive analyst at iSeeCars, says that while 10-year-olds cost a lot less than five-year-olds, these options still have a lot of life left in them.
“Some, like the Toyota Prius, Toyota Avalon and Honda Ridgeline, have more than 125,000 miles to go. And all of these top 20 cars provide a potential lifespan of over 200,000 miles.”

A later analysis showed that the Ridgeline was around $145 for 1,000 miles on the odometer. That’s well below the truck segment average of $191 per 1,000 miles.
Chevrolet’s Colorado is another of the best used trucks for the money
Next on the list is the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. The Colorado has a potential lifespan of 200,554 miles, but it only costs an average of $15,277 for a 10-year version. That works out to about $162 for 1,000 miles.

Toyota had two trucks on the list, the Tundra and the Tacoma, and both Nissan trucks were on the list. The Ford F-150 is expected to last 232,650 miles and only cost around $199 for 1,000 miles.
While the Honda Ridgeline topped the truck list, the Chevy Impala came in first overall.
In the top 10 of all cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles, the Honda Ridgeline was the only truck on the list. For the most part, sedans and SUVs were the longest lasting options for the money. The Chevrolet Impala sedan was the best car for the money, coming in at just $87 for 1,000 miles. With a potential lifespan of 230,343 and an average price of just $9,706, the Impala undoubtedly offers the best bang for the buck of anywhere.
