New video shows new details of the new 2024 Chevy Trax
Back in October, the new 2024 Chevy Trax was announced, but we only had a few photos and gifs of the new Trax. Finally, we have a video from Chevy that shows off the new Trax SUV from most angles, looking like a slightly smaller version of the Blazer. The video highlights the new ACTIV trim, which has a monochrome or solid look with titanium chrome accents and a modern rear skid plate. It also shows off the RS trim, which is fast becoming Chevy’s go-to moniker for street attitude in its SUVs.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new 2024 Chevy Trax is 11 inches longer and two inches wider.
What trim levels will the new 2024 Chevy Trax come in?
The Trax can be ordered in a variety of trims, from basic to sporty. The new Trax may be an entry level, but Chevy is adding a lot to the premium trim levels. For example, heated front seats and steering wheel, as well as remote start, are standard on 1RS, 2RS and ACTIV models, and available on LT. The LS may have heated seats.
All Trax SUVs come with a new turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. Chevy rates it at 137 horsepower, and it’s mated to a six-speed transmission to keep it in the power band longer.
Inside, it gets several premium touches.

The new Trax comes with two displays, one in the center of the dash and one in the gauge cluster. Base trims have an eight-inch touchscreen, while higher-tier trims have an 11-inch touchscreen. Trax comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Along with the new interior and larger displays comes standard Chevy Safety Assist, which means you get automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and other standard features.
Additionally, Chevrolet has added a flat-bottom steering wheel for a sporty feel. Flat-bottomed wheels first gained popularity on sports cars, but are now making their way onto other vehicles because they not only feel cool in the hands, but also give many of us much-needed thigh room when sitting down.
How much does a new 2024 Chevy Trax cost?

Each new Trax costs less than $25,000. The top two trim levels, the 2RS and ACTIV, have an MSRP of $24,995. The new 2024 Chevy Trax should have a suggested retail price of $21,495 on the base LS trim. The mid-level 1RS starts at $23,195, and the LT is $200 more. GM plans to start production in the new year, according to GMAuthority. They should start arriving in dealerships in the spring of 2023.
