When you spend a lot of money on a new luxury SUV, you don’t want it to wear last year’s suit. Instead, you want the newest, coolest, most advanced SUV you can get. These four luxury SUVs bring new styling that won’t look outdated for a season or two, plus they all add hybrid technology. What can you expect from Alfa Romeo, BMW, Lexus and Mercedes?

The 2023 Tonale is Alfa’s first luxury hybrid SUV

2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale | FCA

The Tonale, Alfa Romeo’s first plug-in hybrid SUV, promises to bring the sporty flavor of its cars to the world of SUVs. Inside the Tonale, you’ll see the dashboard of a classic Italian sports car, complete with twin round gauges, reimagined in a digital display and flanked by twin turbine-like vents. The seats are deeply bolstered and contrast stitching is repeated throughout the dash material. But the Tonale is all about power, and this one will have 285 horsepower and an electric range of 30 miles, just like its Dodge Hornet sibling.
