
Lexus is one of the most popular luxury car manufacturers, and like many other brands, Lexus has plenty of SUV options in its lineup. Many of those Lexus SUVs are also great options, so it may be helpful for car buyers to see all of the SUVs that Lexus offers. Here’s an overview of the six different SUVs Lexus is making in the 2023 model year.
The 2023 Lexus UX is Lexus’ cheapest SUV option
According to lexus, the UX is currently the cheapest and smallest SUV option from the Japanese luxury automaker. The UX is a subcompact SUV and starts at around $36,000.
One of the big changes for the 2023 model year is that Lexus now only offers the UX as a hybrid. Its standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain gets 181 hp, and allows the Lexus SUV to get an estimated 42 mpg combined.
The 2023 Lexus NX has plenty of powertrain options
The NX is a compact SUV, making it larger but more expensive than the UX. It starts at around $40,000, and Lexus offers several powertrain options for the SUV. The standard NX has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder making 203 hp, and there’s an optional 2.4-liter turbo-four making 275 hp.
On top of that, Lexus offers both a traditional hybrid and a plug-in hybrid, or PHEV, version of the SUV. The NX Hybrid starts at around $43,000 and gets an estimated 39 mpg combined.
Meanwhile, the NX PHEV starts at $58,000 and gets 84 MPGe. The NX PHEV also gets around 37 miles of range while in battery-only mode.
The 2023 Lexus RX is a solid, well-rounded SUV
The RX is a midsize SUV that starts at around $47,000. The Japanese luxury automaker also offers a traditional hybrid version of the RX, and it starts at around $50,000.
The RX Hybrid gets around 30 mpg combined, while the regular RX gets around 23 mpg combined. Lexus offers an optional third row, which will increase its seating capacity to seven people.
The 2023 Lexus GX has excellent off-road capabilities
The GX is an older but reliable full-size SUV. It starts at around $57,500 and comes with a choice of engine. It has a 4.6-liter V8 that makes 301 hp and has four-wheel drive as standard. Although Lexus hasn’t given the GX a major update in over a decade, it’s still a very capable off-road SUV.
The 2023 Lexus LX is expensive and luxurious
Currently, the most expensive Lexus SUV is the LX, and it is also a full-size SUV. It starts at around $89,000 and seats seven people. The LX has a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 and makes 409 hp. Like the GX, the LX is great for off-roading, but it’s more luxurious overall. Additionally, Lexus gave the LX a major overhaul in the 2022 model year.
The 2023 RZ represents the electric future of Lexus
Lexus’ latest SUV option is just starting production, but it represents the path Lexus is taking moving forward. The RZ is a compact SUV and is fully electric. Lexus hasn’t released pricing details for the RZ yet, but it will be the automaker’s first mass-market EV. It should start in the $50,000 range, and its battery pack will give you a range of about 225 miles.
