How to link Aadhaar card with mobile voter ID and how to check status and steps online

Is your Aadhaar card linked to your voter ID? Although the Election Commission has not made it mandatory, Aadhaar can be linked to voter ID via mobile to establish the identity of voters and authenticate entries in voter registers. It will also help to detect the registration of a voter in more than one constituency or more than once in the same constituency.

Furthermore, the process to link the Aadhaar card with the voter ID is simple and can be done online via smartphones. All you need to do is install the Voter Helpline app and follow the steps below. Or you can also visit the official website of the National Voting Service Portal: www.nvsp.in.

How to link Aadhaar card with online voter ID via mobile device

1. Holders of both the Aadhaar card and Voter ID will need to download and install the Voter Helpline app on their smartphone. Android users can do it from the Google Play Store, while iPhone users will have to go to the app store.

2. Once the app is downloaded and installed on your device, open the Voter Helpline app and select the ‘I Agree’ option and then click ‘Next’.

3. Now, tap on the ‘Voter Registration’ option and then select ‘Vector Authentication Form (Form 6B)’.

4. Next, you will need to tap on the ‘Let’s get started’ option.

5. Next, provide your Aadhaar registered mobile phone number and click ‘send OTP’.

6. Enter the OTP received on the mobile phone number, and then click ‘Verify’.

7. Select the ‘Yes, I have Voter ID’ option and click ‘Next’.

8. Enter your Voter Identification Number (EPIC), select the state and tap on the ‘Get Details’ option.

9. You will then need to click on the ‘Continue’ option.

10. Check your details displayed on the screen and then tap ‘Next’.

11. Enter your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, place of application and click ‘Done’.

12. Once the process is complete, the 6B form preview page will be displayed. Double check your details and tap ‘Confirm’ for the final submission of Form 6B.
