Did you know that there is a way to disable read receipts in WhatsApp and thus secretly read messages without the sender knowing? You can do it this way.
Since its launch in 2009, WhatsApp has grown by leaps and bounds. It has become one of the most used applications in the world. It has a special feature that is sometimes quite useful. This is WhatsApp’s read receipts feature, also known as ‘Blue Ticks’. Allows senders to see when the recipient has read their message. This feature can be useful for making sure important messages are received and read by the person you sent it to. Although this feature is useful in most situations, it can cause some privacy issues. For example, if a user does not want to reply to a message that she has already read, she may feel pressured to do so knowing that the sender knows that she has opened and read it.
Fortunately, WhatsApp allows users to disable read receipts. Therefore, users will still be able to read the message without the sender knowing if the message has been read. Users should note that this will not disable read receipts for group chats or play receipts for voice messages. There is no way to turn them off yet. You can disable WhatsApp read receipts on your smartphone in this way.
