The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a popular midsize SUV you can skip
Weather edmunds Like the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the midsize SUV segment has a lot of competition. Buyers can choose from several powertrains, including a new plug-in hybrid version. It has two rows of seats and room for five, but it can get expensive when you start adding features.

There’s a lot to like about the 2023 Subaru Outback. Edmunds says it has a roomy cabin and a comfortable ride. The Outback is also quite capable off-road or in winter weather conditions. Subaru prices the Outback reasonably, which means you can get the top-of-the-line model for less than $45,000.
Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist technology comes with adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning and automatic fog lamps. Blind-spot detection and lane-change assist are also standard, not to mention the Subaru DriverFocus system that helps the driver stay focused on long drives.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2023 Subaru Outback high scores in its safety tests. These high scores were enough to receive the Top Safety Pick Plus award. Edmunds suggests the Onyx Edition XT trim of the nine trims offered for this popular midsize SUV.

Don’t overlook the Chevrolet Blazer
People often overlook the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, but it’s still a popular midsize SUV at a reasonable price. Most options get 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, for an average of 25 mpg. Chevy equips it with 228 hp and room for five in the comfortable cabin.
When the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer was tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it received an overall safety rating of five stars. He received five stars in major tests like the front barrier, side crash, and pole rating. Overall, the Blazer is a good option for those looking for a new SUV.
