It seems like every time we turn around, the Ford F-150 looks different. Change styles like a tween in high school. One day something like Crocs is in, then they’re gone! But luckily, we’re here to help keep you informed. See what to expect with the 2024 Ford F-150.
2024 Ford F-150: What to Expect
The 2024 Ford F-150 will get mid-cycle updates. This may involve new adjustments to the headlights, taillights, headlamps, grille, wheels, and interior. Plus, the truck could get some tech upgrades, like a new digital gauge cluster and infotainment system.
But doesn’t it feel a little fast? The Ford F-150 has just been redesigned for 2021. The Ram 150 was designed for 2019 and has yet to be updated mid-cycle. Apparently the F-150 moves at a faster pace.
Anyway, a 2024 F-150 model was caught being tested in Dearborn, Michigan. He’s wearing camouflage, but some spy photos still provide clues to the new look.
The front and rear ends are covered, so we can speculate on a new front bumper, grille, headlight, tailgate, rear bumper, and taillight design. Some rumors indicate that the F-150 will have C-shaped headlights to match the diminutive Ford Maverick.
Will the 2024 F-150 have new features?
According to ford authorityThe 2024 Ford F-150 could get a new multifunction tailgate similar to the setup included with the Ram 1500 or GMC Sierra 1500. Ford filed a patent for a multifunction tailgate in January.
It could open like the tailgate on the Ram 1500, allowing you to get closer to the bed while loading cargo. Or it could have a built in shelf, step and extender like the tailgate on the GMC Sierra 1500.
Those with a keen eye might spot the EPA exhaust tip set under the rear bumper. Perhaps this means the F-15 is getting a new configuration to be more fuel efficient.
With the current 2.7-liter V6 engine, the F-150 gets an estimated 20 mpg city and up to 26 mpg highway, according to EPA estimates. The F-150 Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 25 mpg in the city and on the highway.
There is a bit of camouflage covering the center console and parts of the dash. This could indicate that the 2024 F-150 will get a new design. Perhaps there will be a new infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster.
Some critics suspect that the Ford Sync 4 software will be replaced by Google. We’re not enthusiastic about this idea because Ford Sync is fast and intuitive.
Will the 2024 F-150 have more power?

Perhaps, but no official word has been released on the 2024 Ford F-150’s powertrain options. There are currently five engines to choose from, so some options could be removed, replaced, or tuned differently.
The standard 3.3-liter V6 starts the party with 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque, while the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 makes 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque for the Ford F-150 Raptor R.
When trucks are detected in testing, it can mean that the final design process is almost complete. They could be looking at the mechanics to make sure the new designs work properly.
So, we could soon learn more about the 2024 F-150. Stay tuned for the latest updates. It is expected to arrive in mid-2023.
