The Trail Boss is an all-new trim level that will be offered on the third-generation 2023 Chevy Colorado. The Trail Boss chooses certain options offered on the top-of-the-line Chevy Colorado ZR2 to make a truck that’s a perfect fit between the entry-level highway-focused Chevy Colorado and the off-road-focused ZR2.

According to hot cars, the Chevy Colorado Trail Boss comes with only one engine option; a 2.7L Turbo Plus engine producing an estimated 310 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. While the Colorado ZR2 offers 17-inch wheels with 33-inch tires, the Trail Boss opts for a larger wheel with an 18-inch aluminum wheel as the only option.
From the factory, the Trail Boss receives a 2-inch lift along with a wider frame compared to the base Colorado.
